5 Ways to Amaze Your Dad

 

It's time to reflect upon the role dads play and the value they bring to our families. In many families, the dad gives his children structure and stability. Whenever he is around, there is an understanding of the requirement to respect and to be clean and orderly. Fathers expect us to be just, upright, and well-mannered people. Fathers teach us to swim and ride a bike and play board games. As a result, we learned to be "good sports" and "gracious winners." They are strong and solid. Metaphorically speaking, we can say that dad is the perfect “front door” in any household. That being said, how do we thank a person with such an important role.



If you ask him, your father will probably say he doesn't need anything. However, everyone has a "favorite" thing. Parents seem to agree that gifts from the heart are usually best. Some dads to keep homemade items as personal treasures for years--well into their children's adulthood. A cute example might be when the CEO of a company has adorable pictures of little children in homemade picture frames or mugs with his children's little handprints on them. This repurposed door and useful coat hanger/picture frame, made from a 15 lite Colonial French door, is a the perfect place to hang coats, jackets and keys so dad will never have to look for them when he has to go back out (It's okay mom, you can use it too).

This interesting and useful porch swing was constructed using a six-paneled front door. Lots of dads find nothing more pleasant than sitting on the front porch, with their favorite beverages, and enjoying the sunset.
