DuraLast and DuraFinsh, our exclusive finishing systems applies beautifully colored wood and fiberglass stains while adding multiple protective layers of crystal clear urethane finish coats to your wood and fiberglass doors. Each coat is impregnated with ultraviolet UV-inhibitors and enhanced by additional technology to keep your door looking beautiful.
All of our Buffalo Forge Classic and ThermaPlus Steel Doors are hand-finished with attention to detail and painted with the highest level of protection from environmental extremes so you can enjoy these doors for many years to come.

ENERGY STAR
GlassCraft Entry Doors have been evaluated for Energy Star compliance and certified by the National Fenestration Council (NFRC) and the National Accreditation and Management Institute (NAMI).
Look for the U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) when making a buying decision. The U-Factor measures the rate of heat transfer and tells you how well the window insulates. The lower the U-Factor, the better the insulation. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) tells you how well the product blocks heat caused by sunlight. The lower the SHGC, the less solar heat the door transmits.

Pre-Hung Door Units with Continuous Sill
GlassCraft doors in this website can be ordered as a pre-hung door unit. All entryway configurations available for hardwood doors include “continuous” one-piece sills. This means that the bottom sill or threshold is made from one continuous piece of threshold material. This assembly design adds strength and helps to prevent leaking from under the entryway. This is especially important with any entryway configuration that includes 1 or 2 sidelights on the sides of the door. Other manufacturers may produce this entry configuration using a “boxed” construction method and separate sills for each sidelite and the door. GlassCraft uses a “continuous” sill construction method for hardwood doors. Standard pre-hung entryways for exterior use include jamb legs with jamb boots, jamb header, mull posts with mull post boots (where applicable), exterior brickmold, interior casing, T-astragal (for double doors), sill cover, door sweep, weather-stripping, and adjustable threshold, plus 3 ball-bearing hinges on 6’-8” high doors and 4 ball-bearing hinges on 8’-0” high doors.
(Interior pre-hung door units do not include casing....but it is available as an option). Adjustable thresholds are standard....and Endura brand thresholds and ADA thresholds are available as options. Mahogany and knotty alder pre-hung arch top double doors have 3-1/4” interior casing. All other pre-hung units include 2-1/4” casing. Two jamb widths are available - 4-9/16” and 6-9/16”. Pre-hung units may be ordered unfinished or factory finished. Pre-hung units are also available with or without sub-casing, at the customers request. Pre-hung door units can be ordered with any of our standard double bore or multipoint locksets and handle set options. Multipoint lock sets are installed into the active door panel for shipping. Handle sets, deadbolts and latches are shipped uninstalled, and packaged in a separate box to protect the hardware finish. Pre-hung doors may also be ordered bored for standard double bore lock sets.

Hinge Color Options
All prehung units use 3 ball-bearing hinges on 6’-8” tall doors and 4 hinges on 8’-0” tall doors. 1-3/4” thick doors use 4 inch hinges, while 2-1/4” thick doors use 5” hinges. Choose from these four hinge color options shown at right for your pre-hung entry door unit: Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel, Flat Black or Stainless Steel.

Construction Door Options
A Construction Door is a temporary door used during the construction period of the house. GlassCraft can provide two types of these construction doors.....solid or hollow. These doors are “hung” into the jamb just like the permanent door and the construction doors are fully functional during the construction process. Locks may be mounted onto the construction doors for security and privacy. When construction of the home is complete, these construction doors are usually discarded. The solid construction door provides more security and will last longer than the hollow construction door. Please note that construction doors do not include any warranty on the doors or their performance.
Jamb Leg and Mull Post Boots Included
All GlassCraft entryways utilize our unique protective jamb leg boots, which are hard rigid plastic parts machined to perfectly match the profile on the bottom edge of a jamb leg. We also use mull post boots at the bottom of all mull posts which are positioned between doors and sidelights. This method of assembly inhibits the hardwood jamb legs and mull posts from rotting over time due to the absorption of water up from the bottom edge of the entryway.
Sill & Sill Color Options
All standard pre-hung exterior door units use adjustable composite sills which provide many benefits over wood thresholds. Composite sills help prevent problems like water penetration, rot, warping, and discoloration. Our standard adjustable composite sill includes a peel-off protective film which protects the sill during construction of the house, and is made from 100% composite and aluminum materials. The “adjustable” feature allows the top of the sill to be adjusted with a screwdriver to match the correct height required for the bottom of the door.

Sill Options
Optionally, you may select the Endura® Brand adjustable composite threshold or an ADA threshold. The ADA threshold is approved for use with wheelchairs. ADA sills are 5” x 1/2” or 7” x 1/2”. The Endura Z-Series Sill System provides a walnut colored sill cap, the adjustable feature, and a hard plastic protective construction cover.All thresholds are available in 2 colors: Dark Bronze Aluminum or Mill (pewter color) Aluminum.
Our standard sill (shown here in bronze) uses a composite substrate that will not warp or rot.
Optional ADA threshold (shown here in mill finish) is available in Dark Bronze and Mill Aluminum
Optional Endura brand threshold is available in both colors above, and includes a removable hard protective construction cover.
Handle Sets & Lock Options
GlassCraft lock sets are produced by the traditional drop-forged process utilizing solid brass, and featuring heavy gauge construction, a precision engineered mechanism, and superior corrosion protection. A drop-forged part ensures strength and durability. All use a standard 5 pin SCI Keyway. Wide bow keys provided.
All lock sets are compatible with our multi-point lock systems, and all are available as “dummy” lock sets for use on double doors. The Windsor, Savoy and San Jose styles are also available as “one-point” traditional lock sets. In addition, the Sapphire and Savoy Satin Nickel sets are available in a version specifically treated and designed for coastal installation applications.

These premium iron speakeasies make the perfect addition to any one of our plank or two panel doors. Each wrought iron grille has been hand-forged by artisans. Choose from wood-only option or a complete speakeasy kit with one of our seven glass textures and four grille designs that can provide your perfect level of privacy. All speakeasies are available with or without wrought iron grilles. You can add hinge straps, straps or clavos to any of our speakeasy door designs. Speakeasies are also available for our premium fiberglass product line.

Decorative Straps
Our heavy-duty hand-forged wrought iron straps and hinge straps are made using traditional blacksmith techniques. The straps are hammered by hand to give each one a unique handmade texture. Straps and hinge straps are fixed to the door using traditional hand hammered iron clavos. Straps may be mounted on the interior, exterior or both faces of a door. Each of our straps is available in Antique Black, and most are also available in Antique Bronze or Antique Pewter distressed iron finish.
